Colombian President Demands Trial for Trump and U.S. Officials

According to the English ‍section of webangah ‌News⁢ Agency, citing Mehr news Agency and Russia Today, Gustavo ​Petro,⁣ the President‌ of ⁤Colombia, called ‌at the 80th ​United nations General‍ Assembly for the trial of Donald Trump and U.S. officials over their ‌targeting of drug trafficking boats in ⁣the⁣ Caribbean ‌Sea.

He stated ⁣that⁣ the United States imposes a violent and failed war on drugs in Latin America, while‌ major traffickers live openly in⁣ New York and Miami.

The Colombian president also noted⁣ that Colombia⁤ has seized⁤ unprecedented quantities of cocaine and extradited 700 major drug traffickers​ to the United States and Europe.

Petro’s remarks came⁣ after U.S. forces​ claimed to have struck drug trafficking boats near Venezuela on three separate occasions, resulting⁤ in several trafficker deaths.
