Rubio Warns Russia on Ukraine War: “Trump’s Patience Is Not Infinite
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing mehr News Agency and Kyiv Post, U.S.Secretary of State Marco Rubio issued a blunt message to Russia during the UN Security Council’s high-level session on the Ukraine conflict.
Rubio’s remarks, delivered just hours before a scheduled meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, highlight growing urgency among global leaders to find a path toward peace in Ukraine.
Claiming that former President Donald Trump made continuous diplomatic efforts toward peace in Ukraine, Rubio warned that recent attacks and drone incursions into neighboring countries signal that the conflict is moving from a stalemate phase toward possible escalation.
He stated: “The president is very patient and deeply committed to peace, but his patience is not infinite.”
Citing significant human and non-human casualties, Rubio emphasized that “this war must end.”
The senior American diplomat added that if peaceful progress fails, “real options” will include imposing heavy economic costs on the russian Federation as well as supplying defensive-and potentially offensive-arms to Ukraine.
