Cairo Warns Tel Aviv of a “Malicious” Plot
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Today, Osama Abdel Khalek, Egypt’s representative to the United Nations Security Council, stressed that Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip threaten the peace agreement with Egypt that has remained intact for five decades.
He added that this issue carries perilous repercussions for the region.
abdel Khalek stated that Israel’s intentions are clear to everyone: Tel Aviv aims to change the living conditions of Palestinians in Gaza.
“Israel wants to force a large portion of Gaza’s residents out through military attacks and starvation,” he said. “Egypt strongly opposes this, and Tel Aviv’s ground operations in Gaza are part of this malicious scheme.”
Yesterday, Israel’s channel 13 reported that rising tensions between tel aviv and cairo cast a shadow over the future of their signed peace agreement.
