Explosion Near Tel Aviv Embassy in Norway; 13-Year-Old Teen Arrested
According to the English section of webangah News agency, citing Reuters, Norwegian police are investigating an explosion near the Tel Aviv embassy on a street in central Oslo, the capital city.
Police saeid that after examining the initial explosion, bomb disposal units discovered a second explosive device at the scene and carried out a controlled detonation.
Reports indicate these blasts occured near a university and approximately 500 meters from both the Norwegian Royal Palace and the israeli embassy. No injuries or casualties have been reported.
In a rare move, Norwegian authorities sent SMS alerts to Oslo residents warning of the explosions.
The second device appeared to be a military-style hand grenade. Brian Skotnes stated that one person has been arrested in connection with the incident, and police are actively gathering details.
The TV 2 network and Aftenposten newspaper reported that a 13-year-old teenager was detained. This event comes days after reports surfaced of large drones spotted near airports in Oslo and Copenhagen.
