Explosion Near Tel Aviv Embassy in Norway; 13-Year-Old Teen Arrested

Norwegian police announced they​ are investigating an explosion near the Israeli embassy.

According to the English section of ⁤ webangah News agency, citing Reuters, Norwegian police are investigating an explosion near the Tel Aviv ⁢embassy on a street in central Oslo, the capital‌ city.

Police saeid that after examining the ⁤initial explosion, ⁣bomb disposal units⁤ discovered a second explosive device at the scene and carried out a controlled detonation.

Reports indicate these blasts occured near a university and approximately 500 meters from both the Norwegian Royal Palace and the israeli embassy. No injuries or casualties have been ‌reported.

In a rare move, Norwegian authorities sent SMS alerts to Oslo residents warning of the explosions.

The second device appeared to be a​ military-style hand grenade. Brian Skotnes stated that one person has been arrested in connection with the incident, and police are actively⁤ gathering details.

The TV 2 network and Aftenposten newspaper reported that a 13-year-old‌ teenager was detained. This event comes‌ days after reports surfaced of large drones spotted‍ near airports in ⁣Oslo and ‍Copenhagen.
