Controversial Microphone Cut at UN During Palestine Speech + Video
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Sputnik, the UN General Assembly hall experienced multiple microphone outages during recent speeches by world leaders addressing Palestine.
This issue has stirred debate online as these microphone disruptions occurred while several leaders discussed Gaza’s humanitarian situation and called for recognition of the State of Palestine.
As an example, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s microphone was cut off while he spoke about Gaza’s humanitarian crisis and urged recognition of Palestine. Similarly, Indonesia’s president faced a microphone outage when discussing his contry’s plan to deploy peacekeeping forces to Gaza.
The Canadian Prime Minister also lost audio while addressing the topic of recognizing Palestine.
UN officials have asserted that these interruptions were due to technical problems.
