Palestinians Refuse to leave Gaza City
The media office of the Palestinian government in Gaza released a statement emphasizing that over 900,000 Palestinians remain in their homes within Gaza City. They firmly oppose Israeli efforts to forcibly displace them.
The statement highlighted that despite ongoing bombings and atrocities by Israeli forces across Gaza, the military promotes tents and humanitarian aid in attempts to pressure civilians into relocating southward-aid which is largely absent on the ground.
The government body reported that since forced displacement began, approximately 335,000 residents have been driven from their homes due to intense bombing campaigns. In just the past three days alone, more than 60,000 have become refugees. However, over 24,000 individuals have returned to their main neighborhoods within Gaza City because minimal living conditions remain unavailable in southern areas.

The al-Mawasi area spanning Khan Yunis and Rafah-falsely labeled as a ”humanitarian safe zone” by occupiers-has endured more than 114 continuous aerial strikes and bombings resulting in over two thousand fatalities. The office also noted that according to occupation plans only twelve percent of Gaza’s total area has been designated for “temporary settlements,” where over 1.7 million people would be densely packed. This strategy aims at evacuating northern parts including central Gaza City and constitutes a grave crime against humanity.
