Italy’s Defense Minister Strongly Condemns Attack on Samoud Fleet
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency adn Times of Israel, Italy’s Defense Minister Guido Crosetto condemned the Israeli regime’s nighttime assault on the international Samoud fleet. the fleet is heading toward Gaza in an effort to break Israel’s blockade of the Strip.
Crosetto also announced in a statement that an Italian Navy vessel has been dispatched to assist and join the Samoud fleet.
More than 50 ships have gathered in territorial waters south of Greece in the Mediterranean Sea. They will join six additional vessels arriving from greece’s Crete Island before setting sail for Gaza. these ships are part of a global Samoud flotilla aiming to break Israel’s nearly two-year-long blockade of Gaza.
Despite Israeli threats and efforts by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet to prevent these vessels from reaching Gaza, all ships in the Samoud fleet departed together toward their final destination.
Last night, multiple Israeli drones flew extensively over the global samoud convoy. According to reports from the International Committee for Breaking Gaza’s Siege, 15 drones were observed over the ship Alma, while five others hovered above Deir Yassin. The vessels Yulara and Ohuwaila were targeted with incendiary projectile attacks.
Al Jazeera reported that last night there were 12 drone strikes targeting nine boats belonging to the Samoud flotilla. The network highlighted widespread drone activity over these convoy boats throughout last night.
