Iraq to Open Two New Border Crossings with Saudi Arabia and Iran
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Iraqi WAA agency via mehr News Agency, iraqi sources have confirmed that the Iraqi Border Crossings Organization agreed to establish two new border crossings with Saudi Arabia and Iran.
The organization approved seven projects during today’s meeting, including the construction of these two new border crossings.
The periodic board meeting took place Wednesday under the chairmanship of Major General Omar Adnan Al-Waili, head of the organization, according to Iraqi sources.
Al-Waili stated that among seven approved plans, the most significant were approving the launch of a border crossing project between Iraq and Saudi Arabia in Najaf Province (Al-Owaikila border), and another between Iraq and Iran in Maysan Province (Ali Al-Gharbi-Jalat border).
