Trump’s Promise to Arab Leaders
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Barak Ravid, a reporter for Axios, wrote Wednesday on his social media platform X that a source familiar with last night’s meeting confirmed Trump told Arab and Muslim leaders he would not permit Netanyahu to annex parts of the West Bank.
Separately,Politico reported that six people aware of the matter said president Donald Trump promised Arab leaders during Tuesday’s meeting that he would prevent israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from incorporating the West Bank into Israel.
Politico added that two individuals described Trump as firm on this point, pledging not to allow Israel to seize the West Bank territory governed by the Palestinian Authority-not Hamas.
The outlet noted that before his session with leaders from eight Arab countries at United Nations headquarters, Trump told reporters it was his “most important” meeting of the day but left without taking questions. The participants have yet to release any official statement about their discussions.
This claim comes amid widespread international skepticism. Many global media outlets emphasize that Washington has historically failed to uphold its promises and does not consider itself bound by them. One example is U.S. aggression alongside Zionist occupiers during indirect negotiations between Iran and America-a clear violation of international law attributed to Washington’s aggressive conduct.
