Netanyahu Furious Over Painful Blow by Yemen’s Army
According to the English section of webangah news Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Sputnik, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Yemen’s military attack on Israel would be met with a painful response, as in previous incidents.
Claiming that an unmanned Yemeni drone was downed in the occupied city of Eilat, Netanyahu said he had spoken with the city’s mayor to express his support for him and local residents.
He also wished a speedy recovery to those injured in Yemen’s military assault.
Yemeni Armed forces spokesperson Yahya Saree issued a statement hours earlier announcing drone attacks against several enemy positions in southern occupied territories.
The statement confirmed that Yemeni forces targeted the port of Umm al-Rashrash within the occupied lands using two drones, successfully striking their objective.
Saree emphasized that this operation achieved its goals and that enemy air defense systems failed to intercept the drones.
This marked the second drone attack on occupied territories within 24 hours, according to Yemen’s armed forces spokesperson.
Israeli media reported sirens sounding in Eilat several hours before these events unfolded across the occupied lands.
Hebrew-language outlets reported that at least 50 people were wounded during this drone strike, some critically injured.
The Yemeni military declared it would continue these attacks against Israel as long as assaults on Gaza persist.
