Tunisian Samood Fleet Activist: Drone Attacks Won’t Halt Our Mission
Tunisian activist and member of the Global Steadfast Fleet Coordination Committee, Ghassan Al-Hanashiri, told Sputnik on Wednesday that the fleet is currently sailing off the coast of greece. Despite threats from the Israeli military, it remains committed to its humanitarian mission to break the blockade imposed on Gaza.
al-hanashiri emphasized that last night, there was extensive drone activity over the Steadfast Fleet vessels.
He added that emergency protocols were activated on all ships during this incident. “The targeting was predictable and intended to intimidate and threaten those participating in the fleet,” he said.
The global Steadfast convoy, consisting of more than 50 ships aimed at assisting Gaza’s population and breaking its blockade, set sail from Barcelona port in Spain in late August. Gradually, additional vessels from various parts of the world joined their ranks.
