Colombian President ⁣Emphasizes That‍ Statements Condemning Israeli RegimeS Crimes Are Insufficient,⁤ Calls for Force to Counter Occupation

According to the English section of​ webangah News‌ Agency, citing Mehr News ​Agency, Colombian President Gustavo Petro ⁤told ⁢Al Jazeera that statements condemning⁢ Israel’s crimes in Palestine are not enough and⁤ that force is needed to confront the occupation.

He⁣ added that those responsible for genocide in Gaza must be arrested and referred to the⁢ International Criminal Court.

The Colombian president also called for reform of the​ Security Council voting system, stating⁤ that no country should be able to impose its will ​on the world.

Earlier, ‌during his speech ⁤at the 80th United Nations General Assembly, he criticized the role of the US president in the killing of Palestinians-especially in Gaza-and said former President Donald Trump​ authorized missile attacks targeting⁣ children, women, and elderly‌ civilians ⁢there.

Petro pointed to global ⁤indifference toward Zionist crimes and Western complicity, declaring: “This is genocide and must be stopped. This UN assembly remains silent as ⁢a witness to these ‌atrocities.”
