Sources: U.S. Prepares for Attack on Venezuela
The English division of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Today, reported that NBC News, quoting four informed sources including two U.S. officials, stated that the United States is preparing for attacks on venezuelan territory.
According to the report, potential U.S. strikes against Venezuela are framed as efforts to target drug traffickers.
Sources indicated these operations could commence within the coming weeks.
NBC News added that while these attacks have not yet been approved by former President Donald Trump, they would further escalate tensions between his administration and Venezuela. The plan reportedly centers on drone strikes targeting members of trafficking gangs.
Earlier, Nicolás Maduro, President of Venezuela, declared that popular forces across the country have been deployed to confront any threat from “American invaders.”
