Death Toll of Journalists in Gaza Reaches 252
The Government Information Office in Gaza released a statement reporting that 252 media personnel have been killed since the onset of the Israeli regime’s genocidal assault on Gaza. This figure was updated following the death of Mohammed al-Dayya, a reporter for the Palestine Information Center.
The statement strongly condemned the targeted assassination and murder of Palestinian journalists by Israeli occupiers. It called on the international Federation of Journalists, the Arab Journalists union, and all global media organizations to denounce these systematic crimes against journalists and media activists in Gaza.
The government Information Office held Israel, along with the United States and its allied countries including Britain, Germany, and France fully responsible for these atrocities.It emphasized that these states are complicit in committing massacres and brutal crimes.
the statement urged the international community, relevant organizations, and press freedom institutions not only to condemn these crimes but also to take immediate and effective actions. These include prosecuting perpetrators before international courts, halting genocide in Gaza, protecting journalists, and preventing further killings or assassinations.
