Barack Obama Criticizes War on Gaza
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and the Palestine Data Centre, former U.S. President Barack Obama sharply criticized Israel’s genocidal war and military operations in Gaza on Friday. He described these actions as unjustifiable and called for an end to the needless destruction in Gaza’s remaining areas.
Speaking at an event in Dublin, Obama emphasized that there is no military justification for continued devastation that now only leaves ruins behind. He also called for establishing an independent palestinian state. Obama added that it must be accepted that children should not lose their lives from hunger under these conditions and stressed that Gaza’s humanitarian crisis cannot be ignored.
The former U.S. president condemned political leaders for their failure to resolve conflicts, specifically naming Benjamin Netanyahu. Referencing his tense relationship with Netanyahu,he said: “We never saw eye to eye.” Obama’s rare comments on the Gaza conflict came as world leaders gathered in New York for a United Nations General Assembly session to discuss and deliberate on the crisis caused by Israel’s aggression against Gaza.
