Joseph Aoun: National Unity Is Essential to Confront Threats
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Al-Nashra via Mehr News Agency, Lebanese President joseph Aoun stated in a message on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safi al-Din that safeguarding their sacrifices requires maintaining unity and gathering around the national cause.
In his message,Joseph Aoun expressed hope that this first anniversary since the assassination of these two former hezbollah secretaries-general would serve as an opportunity to emphasize that protecting the sacrifices made by Lebanon’s sons is only achievable through unified stances and collective commitment to a strong,justice-centered country.
He affirmed that confronting threats facing Lebanon today-whether security, political, or economic-can only be achieved through national solidarity, avoiding division, and uniting under the roof of Lebanon’s government. He underscored that lebanon’s government remains the sole legitimate authority capable of guaranteeing security for all Lebanese without discrimination or distinction.
the president expressed optimism that this painful anniversary would foster empathy and reinforce belief in saving Lebanon solely through having a single government, a unified army, and legal institutions committed to upholding sovereignty and preserving dignity.
