Netanyahu Mocked Again with Two Iconic Moments at the United Nations
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and the Israeli newspaper Ma’ariv, reported that Israeli journalist ben Caspit wrote in an article for Ma’ariv that senior leaders of the Zionist regime opposed Trump’s proposal for international occupation of Gaza. Caspit noted that trump’s patience would eventually run out and he would realize there is no complete victory over Hamas.
The newspaper added that Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben-gvir, extremist ministers in the Israeli cabinet, publicly threatened to oppose this plan. This suggests implementing Trump’s plan could lead to the collapse of Israel’s governing coalition.
The report continues by indicating that two years after the October 7 disaster, Benjamin Netanyahu is likely at a critical final stage regarding decisions about the Gaza war. He must either accept Trump’s overall plan, claim victory in the war, and run for election or continue to delay while risking Israeli captives’ lives and testing Trump’s patience.
According to Caspit, Netanyahu must choose between Israel’s national interests and his own limited political interests. However, he is Israel’s first prime minister who will never hesitate when it comes to prioritizing his personal interests.
Analyzing Netanyahu’s speech at the United Nations General Assembly, Caspit said it felt like a closing address as there was no vision of victory. It is highly probable that 20 live Israeli captives have been dying underground in Hamas tunnels since two years ago.
This Zionist analyst ridiculed netanyahu’s move to install powerful speakers broadcasting his speech nearby amid desperate conditions faced by Israeli soldiers during this war. Reserve soldiers repeatedly called up left behind suffering families, halted businesses, debts, and personal struggles only to set up speakers no one heard.
Caspit observed two enduring images from this speech: one showing loudspeakers installed before ruins in gaza; another capturing world representatives walking out en masse from the UN General Assembly hall as Netanyahu began speaking-reflecting Israel’s current situation.
Ben Caspit stressed that Netanyahu has caused harm to Israel whose healing process will be lengthy-possibly even longer than rebuilding Gaza itself.
