U.S. Secretary of State Claims Following Snapback Enforcement

US Secretary of State reiterated⁢ claims regarding Iran’s nuclear program,asserting that the United States⁢ still expects to‍ reach an agreement ​with Tehran ​on the ​issue.

According to ⁢the English‍ section of webangah News Agency, citing‌ Mehr ‌News⁤ Agency and TASS, US Secretary of‍ State Marco Rubio⁢ accused Washington’s European allies⁢ and ‌the US ‍itself of‍ hostile actions against‌ Iran through activating the “snapback mechanism,” while claiming that Washington still expects to⁢ reach an agreement with iran​ concerning its nuclear program.

Rubio stated: “Sanctions and other United ‌Nations restrictions related⁤ to Iran resumed at 8 ⁤p.m. Eastern ⁤Time.”

He continued: “president Donald Trump has clearly said that diplomacy remains an option on the table, and⁢ reaching an⁢ agreement is still‍ the best outcome for ⁢both the‍ Iranian⁢ people and the world. To achieve this, Iran ‌must⁣ engage in direct negotiations in ‍good faith without wasting time or creating ambiguity.”

Earlier,under⁣ pressure from⁣ the United States,the UN security ‌Council rejected a draft resolution submitted by Russia and China aimed at extending Resolution 2231 supporting the nuclear deal with Iran.

Previously, Britain, ‌Germany, and France accused⁤ the Islamic Republic of violating⁢ the 2015 nuclear ‌deal (JCPOA) while ignoring America’s unilateral ⁢withdrawal‍ from ⁤it in ‌2018⁢ as well as⁣ European violations. Aligning⁤ themselves ⁢with Washington’s “maximum ‍pressure” campaign against Tehran, they initiated⁤ a‍ 30-day process⁤ activating ⁤the snapback‍ mechanism.
