Israeli Soldier Killed East of Qalqilya
News reports confirm the death of an Israeli military soldier in the West Bank.
The English section of webangah News agency, citing Mehr News agency and Shihab News Agency, reported that Mahmoud Hassan al-Aqqad, a young Palestinian, was killed by Israeli occupation forces’ gunfire at the Jit junction east of Qalqilya in the southern West Bank.
Meanwhile, Israeli media confirmed the death of an Israeli soldier who had been seriously wounded in this operation.
Earlier, Israel Defense Forces Radio reported on an anti-Israeli attack east of Qalqilya in the West Bank. A Palestinian vehicle reportedly sped toward Israeli soldiers attempting to run them down. The soldiers opened fire on the assailant, resulting in his death. During the exchange, one Israeli soldier was severely injured by gunfire.
