Vance: Russians Must Wake Up and Accept Ukraine Realities
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, JD Vance, Vice president under former US president Donald Trump, stated in a Sunday interview with Fox News that the Russians need to wake up and accept the realities concerning Ukraine. In recent weeks, Russia has declined bilateral meetings with Ukrainians as well as trilateral talks involving trump or other American officials.
Vance than claimed that russia has killed many people without gaining any territorial achievements. He said it is indeed time for the Russians to heed Trump’s call and come to the negotiating table. “How many more will die for what is at best a minimal, if not zero, gain?” he asked. “We hope not too many-but our approach remains committed to continuing efforts for peace while hoping Russia recognizes the current reality.”
This comes despite Moscow repeatedly stating its readiness to resolve the conflict in Ukraine through negotiation.
