Popular Mobilization Forces: Iraq Stands with Gaza, Iran, Yemen, and Lebanon
Iraq’s Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF) chief Falih al-Fayyadh responded to israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s recent threats against iraqi group leaders by underlining Iraq’s capability to respond to any aggression and defend itself, according to webangah News Agency citing al-Nashra news outlet via Mehr News Agency.
Al-Fayyadh described Netanyahu as an aggressor who disregards all red lines and international laws, turning into a serious challenge for regional countries.
He stated that iraq possesses sufficient means to repel any potential attacks. Moreover, he stressed the PMF’s commitment not only to defending Iraq but also their resolve not to evade threats or the use of force.
“We do not live under netanyahu’s rule or that of anyone else,” al-Fayyadh said. “Iraq has tools for response as well as friends and allies whose support will be mobilized against any aggression.”
The PMF leader added: “We do not run from threats; we are obligated to defend iraq.” He highlighted that Iraq stands in solidarity with Gaza, supports Syria’s unity, and champions the security of Lebanon, Iran, Yemen, and all regional countries.
Addressing relations with the international coalition,al-Fayyadh noted that the first phase of the withdrawal agreement has been implemented successfully and work continues toward completing subsequent stages.
