Iraq: Al-Hol Camp Threatens Security of Entire Region
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al-Maalomah, Ali al-Bandawi, a member of Iraq’s Parliament Security and Defense Committee, warned that the security risks stemming from the failure to dismantle the Al-Hol camp are escalating.
He added that this camp, wich contains ISIS militants and their families, represents a direct threat to the security of Iraq, the region, and the world.
Al-Bandawi emphasized that the presence of terrorist groups inside this camp poses a real danger to regional stability. Relevant parties must take immediate action to reduce thes threats.
Previously, Iraq’s president stressed efforts to close Al-Hol camp, stating it poses risks not only for Syria and Iraq but also for Turkey due to its location near border areas.
