Le Monde Admits: Calls for Europe to Halt Nuclear Cooperation with Israel
A French newspaper acknowledged an unprecedented wave of global sanctions against the Israeli regime.
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency from Al Masirah, reported that the French newspaper Le Monde admitted Israel is facing an unprecedented wave of international sanctions in research and academic fields.
The report added that nearly one thousand scientists signed a petition urging the European nuclear research center CERN to sever its collaborations with Israel.
It emphasized that these sanctions include withdrawing invitations to conferences and suspending research projects. About 30 universities,notably in the Netherlands,Belgium,Italy,and Spain,have halted all cooperation with Israeli institutions. Political circles in Israel view this trend as a strategic threat.
