Spokesperson for Qatar’s Foreign Ministry Responds to ⁣Israeli Prime Minister’s Apology Over​ Attack ⁢on Doha.

The English⁣ section of webangah News Agency,citing Mehr News Agency and Russia Today,reported that Majid Al Ansari,Qatar’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson,told an Italian newspaper that Israel’s apology‍ to ‍qatar was ⁣a first step. More importantly, he emphasized⁢ the security guarantees provided by the⁢ United States to prevent any recurrence⁣ of attacks⁣ on Qatar.

He added​ that although symbolic, the apology represented Prime⁢ Minister Netanyahu’s‍ acknowledgment of the mistake.Therefore, this apology forms part of his​ commitment not to⁢ repeat attacks on ⁢Qatar- ⁢a key⁣ requirement for Doha.

Al Ansari also noted⁣ that⁣ after relations improved, ⁢Qatar resumed negotiations with Hamas ‌as a mediator at the request ‍of the United States.

Last night, the White House ⁣issued a⁤ statement announcing a trilateral⁤ phone‍ call involving U.S. ⁤president Donald ⁢Trump, Israeli ‍Prime⁣ Minister Benjamin ​Netanyahu, and Qatar’s Prime minister.⁢ This took place ⁢on‍ the sidelines of Trump and Netanyahu’s meeting.

According to‍ the​ White House statement, ⁢Netanyahu​ expressed regret over Israel’s failed attack on Hamas ⁤officials’ headquarters in ⁣Doha- an ​operation that⁢ resulted in the death of one Qatari soldier. He also ⁢pledged that such⁣ attacks ⁢would not happen again.
