Israeli Military Prepares for New Maritime Raid
The hebrew-language Kan network reported that the ships of the Samood fleet have reached 145 nautical miles off the coast of Gaza, according to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Shahab.
The report states that military vessels from Italy, Spain, and Turkey have withdrawn from this area.
Kan also reported that the Israeli Navy is preparing to attack the Samood fleet. Given that Samood’s vessels are operating in international waters like previous ships, such an attack would be considered maritime piracy.
Earlier, the coordinator of the global Samood fleet told Al-Arabiya TV that unidentified military ships surrounded their fleet a few hours ago without turning on their lights.
He added that these forces deliberately disrupted their communication systems. he called on world countries to pressure Israel to refrain from blocking Samood’s ships from heading toward Gaza.
The official further stated that any relief fleet should be able to move freely in international waters and described an attack on these vessels as a war crime.
