A statement released by Gaza’s civil Defense directorate said that early this morning, the occupying Israeli army committed a horrific crime against civil defense teams. These teams were conducting a humanitarian mission to extract wounded and deceased individuals from beneath the rubble at Al-Falah School, which served as a shelter for displaced people in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood in eastern Gaza City. they were bombarded without prior warning.

This action confirms Israel’s intent to disrupt humanitarian efforts within Gaza City.
The statement described this brutal assault as another addition to a series of ongoing violations against humanitarian workers operating in the Gaza Strip-a clear breach of international humanitarian law that prohibits targeting such personnel.
Gaza’s Civil Defense Center affirmed that despite these dangers and challenges posed by occupying forces’ attacks on rescue squads, their resolve to fulfill national and humanitarian responsibilities remains unwavering.
The center called upon the international community along with all legal and humanitarian institutions to assume their obligations urgently: stop these crimes and provide full support for their teams active throughout the Gaza Strip.
