Australia Protests Tel Aviv’s Moves Against Samoud Fleet
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, the Australian government announced today that it is concerned about the safety of it’s citizens aboard the Samoud fleet heading toward Gaza.
Australia further stated that it has conveyed its protest and concerns regarding the potential detention of Australian citizens on the Samoud fleet to Tel Aviv.
The government also expressed worry about drone attacks by the Zionist regime against Samoud fleet ships.
Earlier, Hebrew-language Kan News reported that the samoud fleet vessels had reached 145 nautical miles from Gaza’s coast.
The report noted that military ships from Italy, spain, and Turkey have withdrawn from this area.
Kan added that the Israeli navy is preparing to attack the Samoud fleet.Given that these ships are stationed in international waters like previous vessels, such an attack would be considered maritime piracy.
The coordinator of the global Samoud fleet told al-Arabiya TV earlier that unidentified military ships surrounded their fleet hours ago without turning on their lights.
he added they deliberately disrupted their communication systems. He called on countries worldwide to pressure Israel not to obstruct these humanitarian vessels en route to Gaza.
This official emphasized that any humanitarian flotilla can freely navigate international waters and warned that attacking these ships would amount to a war crime.
