Colombian President: The Samood Fleet Has Entered a Dangerous Drone Zone
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency and Shehab News Agency, Colombia’s president issued a stern warning regarding any attack on the Samood fleet, describing such an act as a crime against humanity.
Gustavo Petro condemned any potential assault on the “Samood Fleet” (breaking Gaza Siege),which is en route to the Gaza Strip,calling it a clear violation of international law and a crime against humanity.
He noted that this humanitarian flotilla has entered “an extremely dangerous area,” adding that drone activity is increasing and unidentified ships have been detected on radar. All crew members are wearing life jackets and remain fully alert for any possible attacks.
Petro emphasized that the lives and dignity of more then 500 civilians and volunteers involved in this mission must be respected.
The president also pointed out that two Colombian citizens, Manuela Pedioya and Luna Barito, are among those aboard the fleet.
