Kremlin: Putin-Zelensky Meeting Still Not Possible
Dmitry Peskov, spokesperson for the Russian presidential office (the Kremlin), announced on Wednesday that a meeting between Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky remains unachievable. According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and sputnik, Peskov stated that Kyiv shows no urgency in resuming negotiations with Russia.
The Kremlin spokesperson emphasized that a summit between Putin and Zelensky can only be prepared through expert-level processes. high-level contacts alone cannot be an end in themselves; such talks will not contribute to a comprehensive resolution of the conflict.
Peskov also noted that Kyiv is reluctant to respond promptly to Russia’s draft memorandum proposals or its offer to establish three working groups. The negotiation process between Moscow and kyiv has stalled. Simultaneously occurring,Europe continues provocative actions in several waters,including the Baltic Sea,compelling Russian armed forces to take necessary measures to maintain order.
He added that while Russia remains fully committed to peace, it prefers simultaneously strengthening its armed forces by all possible means.
