Mass Protests Across Europe Against Israel’s Attack on the “Sumud” Fleet
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr news Agency and Al Jazeera, following the brutal Israeli assault on the Sumud flotilla vessels, and the seizure of multiple ships along with the detention of activists, many citizens across Europe took to the streets in protest.
Reports indicate that these demonstrations are ongoing in Italy, Belgium, Germany, France, Greece, Turkey, and other European countries.
The global Sumud (Resistance) flotilla consists of over 50 ships aiming to break Gaza’s blockade. As it progressed toward its destination, it faced a violent attack by Israeli forces. The regime confiscated several vessels from the flotilla and arrested a number of activists onboard.
The management of the global Sumud flotilla stated that due to Israel’s attacks,they have lost contact with several ships and are now working diligently to ascertain the status of all activists and crew members involved.
The global Sumud flotilla also condemned Israel’s seizure of thier ships as an illegal act targeting unarmed civilians in international waters.
They further emphasized that their vessels remain 70 nautical miles off Gaza’s coast and will persist on their route without retreating.
The flotilla urged nations worldwide to demand safety for all ship occupants and call for their release.
