Protests Erupt Across Latin America Following Zionist Regime Attack on Samoud Fleet

The seizure of ⁣the Samoud fleet by the Israeli regime sparked protests across Latin America.

According‍ to the English section of webangah News ⁢Agency, citing Mehr News ⁢Agency⁣ and Anadolu, thousands of people in several‌ Latin ⁢American ‍cities protested against the interception of the international Samoud‍ fleet. The fleet, aiming to ​break the Gaza Strip blockade, was seized by Israel’s naval forces. Demonstrations took place in Mexico City, Bogotá, Buenos Aires, and Montevideo.

In Bogotá, Colombia’s capital, ⁢protesters gathered outside the ⁣National Business ‍Association representing the country’s private ​sector. This location​ was chosen after “Global Movement Towards Gaza” accused this association via its X (formerly⁣ Twitter) account of⁢ direct⁣ ties with Israel’s economic‍ representation in Colombia.The association later denied these claims in ⁤a ⁢statement.

In Buenos aires, Argentina’s capital, hundreds joined demonstrations condemning Israel’s attack‍ on the samoud fleet​ and called for an end to ⁢what they ​described as genocide‍ in Gaza.

Montevideo, Uruguay’s⁤ capital, also witnessed protests where‍ activists chanted slogans demanding freedom⁢ for⁢ Palestine and‍ carried placards calling⁢ for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin⁢ Netanyahu’s imprisonment.

Mexican protesters gathered‍ outside their Ministry of Foreign ​Affairs in Mexico⁤ City demanding the release of all​ detained members of the Samoud fleet-including seven Mexican ⁣nationals captured by Israeli forces.

The international Samoud fleet ‌comprised over 40 ships and more than 500 volunteers ​from approximately 40 countries. It was intercepted last ‌night about⁢ 80 nautical miles from Gaza by Israel’s navy.

Organizers reported that nine vessels were seized during this operation and⁢ that one ship‍ was attacked​ while‌ still navigating international waters.
