41 U.S. Senators Urge Lifting Restrictions on Palestinian Passports

Forty-one U.S. senators ⁤have urged⁣ Secretary ⁢of State⁣ Marco Rubio to lift the travel restrictions imposed on Palestinian passport holders.

According to⁢ the English⁣ section of webangah ⁤News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency adn the palestinian Information Center,‍ forty-one⁢ members ‍of the U.S. Senate expressed serious concern in a letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio regarding ⁣recent decisions by the‍ State Department that restrict visa issuance for Palestinians. the senators called‌ on rubio to remove ‍the ban affecting ​Palestinian passport holders.

The letter requests an explanation ‍for last‍ month’s policy that suspended temporary medical⁣ and humanitarian visas for civilians living in Gaza, including⁤ children with severe injuries‍ and life-threatening conditions.

The senators criticized this unprecedented decision and emphasized the urgent need to resume⁤ issuing⁢ humanitarian and non-immigrant visas for eligible Palestinians⁤ to save innocent lives.
