41 U.S. Senators Urge Lifting Restrictions on Palestinian Passports
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency adn the palestinian Information Center, forty-one members of the U.S. Senate expressed serious concern in a letter to Secretary of State Marco Rubio regarding recent decisions by the State Department that restrict visa issuance for Palestinians. the senators called on rubio to remove the ban affecting Palestinian passport holders.
The letter requests an explanation for last month’s policy that suspended temporary medical and humanitarian visas for civilians living in Gaza, including children with severe injuries and life-threatening conditions.
The senators criticized this unprecedented decision and emphasized the urgent need to resume issuing humanitarian and non-immigrant visas for eligible Palestinians to save innocent lives.
