UN Official Condemns Tel Aviv’s Maritime Hijacking Against Samud
UN Deputy Spokesperson responds to Israeli regime’s attack on the Samud fleet ships.
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Al Jazeera via Mehr News Agency, reported that Farhan Haq, Deputy Spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General, commented on the Israeli regime’s attack against the Samud fleet: “International maritime law must be respected.”
He added, “Our priority is to prevent harm to the crew members of the Samud ships and to ensure they are treated fairly and with dignity.”
Simultaneously occurring, Israel’s Channel 13 reported that efforts have begun to transfer detained activists back to their European countries via air travel.
Earlier, organizers of the Samud fleet declared that Israel’s attack in international waters constitutes a war crime.
