OCHA Warns of Worsening Humanitarian Crisis in Gaza Strip
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, OCHA stated in a release that residents of Gaza City are facing severe difficulties accessing basic necessities amid ongoing bombardments.
Al Jazeera reported that OCHA also highlighted an increase in aid organizations forced to suspend their operations within Gaza.
The agency further announced that food distributions in northern Gaza have dropped by 70 percent.
OCHA stressed that significant obstacles remain for delivering aid into Gaza, posing serious challenges for both itself and its partners.
Additionally, a spokesperson for the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) recently said Israel kills around one hundred Palestinians daily in Gaza, while only 9 percent of essential supplies reach the strip’s population.
