Hamas Praises Courage of Samood Convoy Members Against Israeli Minister
According to webangah News Agency’s English section, citing Mehr News Agency and the palestinian Shehab News Agency, Hamas issued a statement condemning the arrest of Freedom Flotilla activists in the occupied territories. The statement also addressed Itamar Ben-Gvir’s visit-an extremist minister of the Israeli regime-to detainees, during wich he labeled them terrorists.
Hamas said Ben-Gvir’s presence at the detention center, where international supporters who participated in the global Freedom Flotilla are held, and his attempts to threaten and humiliate them reflect “the arrogance and moral and political decay” reached by leaders of Israel’s criminal regime.
The movement described this act as a desperate attempt by tel Aviv to portray a victory over unarmed supporters while Israel continues to face increasing global isolation.
The statement added that branding these supporters as “terrorists” simply as they tried to bring milk and food to children and civilians in Gaza-who suffer from systematic genocide and hunger-warrants worldwide condemnation of Israel. It called for international pressure on Tel Aviv for their immediate release.
Hamas expressed pride in the heroic stance demonstrated by Palestinian supporters who challenged Ben-Gvir with chants of “Free Palestine,” highlighting their courage and humanitarian message.
The statement urged nations and civil society organizations globally to increase solidarity activities with Palestinians. It called for strengthening boycott campaigns against Israel until its aggression ends and genocidal crimes in Gaza cease.
On Friday, Itamar Ben-Gvir, Israel’s Minister of National Security, visited Ketziot Prison located in Negev desert. Dozens of international activists from the Freedom flotilla remain detained here following an Israeli military raid on their ships in international waters aimed at breaking Gaza’s blockade while delivering medical aid and food supplies.
During his visit, Ben-Gvir attacked these activists verbally, calling them “terrorists.” Despite being held captive by Israeli soldiers,Palestinian supporters continued chanting slogans supporting Palestine without pause, disrupting his remarks.
Since last night, Israel’s navy has seized Freedom Flotilla vessels attempting to breach Gaza’s siege.Hundreds of activists, journalists, and doctors from various countries where arrested during this operation.
