American Magazine: Unlikely Ukraine Will Obtain Tomahawk Missiles
The English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and TASS, reported that the American Conservative magazine, in an article by Ted Snider, stated it is improbable that former U.S. President Donald Trump’s management would provide Ukraine with long-range Tomahawk missiles in this very way an action would directly involve Washington in a conflict with Russia.
According to the article, Ukraine cannot use these long-range weapons without relying on U.S. intelligence for target identification and missile guidance-an explicit red line that could pull America into direct clashes with russia.
The piece also noted that the United States produces fewer than 200 Tomahawk missiles annually and has limited stockpiles. This means it is indeed unlikely Ukraine would receive significant quantities even if such missiles were supplied.
Previously, J.D. Vance, a deputy under Trump, said the administration was considering providing Tomahawk cruise missiles to other NATO members for transfer to Ukraine. He added that President Trump would make the final decision on this matter. Axios reported on September 26 that Trump declined to deliver Tomahawks to Kyiv and highlighted this system as the only weapon on a list he opposed selling to NATO members in support of Ukraine.
On October 2, Russian President Vladimir Putin stated: “The use of Tomahawk missiles without direct involvement of U.S. military personnel will be impractical. If this happens,it will mark an entirely new phase of escalating tensions-including relations between Russia and America.”
