Netanyahu: After All Prisoners Are Freed, We Will Pursue Other Sections of the Trump Plan
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News agency and Al Jazeera, Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel’s prime minister, who opposes a ceasefire and an end to the Gaza conflict, issued a strong warning to Hamas. He conditioned the implementation of Trump’s plan for Gaza on the release of all israeli captives held by resistance groups.
Netanyahu stated: “as long as the first clause-freedom for all prisoners, dead or alive-is not fulfilled, we will not proceed with any other parts of Trump’s proposal.”
He also declared that after the war ends in Gaza, neither Hamas nor the Palestinian Authority will govern there. “No representative from Hamas or the Palestinian Authority will play any role in governing Gaza,” he said.
Netanyahu claimed that if prisoners are not released within a set timeframe and supported by some countries, hostilities will resume.
He further asserted that Tel Aviv would participate in disarming Gaza-a claim met with serious skepticism by observers and analysts given nearly two years have passed without progress on this front.
The prime minister additionally claimed today that thru his efforts he has managed to break Israel’s isolation internationally and isolate Hamas politically.
These statements serve as admissions that Israel faces global and regional isolation due to its actions in Gaza. The diplomatic expulsions and bans imposed on Israeli athletes in several European countries, ongoing widespread anti-Israel protests in capitals across Europe and Asia continue to undermine Netanyahu’s claims.
