the English section of webangah News Agency reports, citing Anadolu Agency via Mehr News Agency, that the march supporting the “International Freedom Fleet” started with cooperation from Turkey’s İHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation and the Palestine Support Platform. The demonstration seeks to stand against the Zionist genocide in Gaza and break it’s blockade.
Protesters gathered outside Hagia Sophia Mosque chanted “We are moving toward freedom” as they marched toward Eminönü Square. Their action expressed solidarity with a fleet composed of 11 ships and 146 participants from 22 countries en route to Gaza.
Demonstrators chanted slogans such as ”Israel murderer, get out of Palestine,” “Greetings to Gaza, resistance continues,” “Free Palestine from river to sea,” and “Muslims don’t sleep; don’t leave your brothers alone.”
They carried placards reading: “I march for Gaza’s children-what about you?”, “Walk on brother until Jerusalem’s strength reaches your footsteps,” “One day light will rise from snow,” and “where there is oppression, one cannot remain neutral.”
