UNRWA: 80 Percent of Gaza Buildings Destroyed

The United Nations Relief ‍and Works ‍Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) announced ⁢that about 80 percent of buildings ⁢in Gaza have been destroyed or damaged in the occupiers’ war against the​ Gaza Strip.

According⁤ too the ​English‍ section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr ‌News Agency and Shehab News Agency, UNRWA reported that approximately 80 percent ⁤of buildings⁣ in ​Gaza ⁣have been destroyed or seriously ​damaged during the ​occupiers’ ​war on the Gaza ‌Strip.

As the conflict began on October ‌7, 2023, more than 370 UNRWA staff members have been killed in the region, the agency stated.

UNRWA also highlighted⁣ that ⁤nearly ​90 percent of⁢ water resources and sewage networks have been destroyed over the past two years.​ The agency emphasized that almost all residents of Gaza have become displaced due to this war.

Separately, on ⁣the eve of marking two years since‌ israel’s genocidal war, Gaza’s government media office released statistics detailing its devastating effects. It reported that 2.4 million ⁤residents face genocide, starvation, and ethnic cleansing. ​Additionally, 90 ⁢percent of ⁤buildings in Gaza ​have been ⁢demolished while Israeli forces control⁣ 80 percent ⁣of its territory.
