Trump Claims Talks with Hamas Were Highly Successful

US President Claims Negotiations with Hamas over Ceasefire Have Been Highly Successful

According to the English section of webangah news Agency, citing Al Jazeera,US President Donald Trump claimed that negotiations with Hamas have been very successful and are progressing rapidly.

He added that technical teams will reconvene in Egypt on Monday to discuss final details, with the first phase expected to conclude this week.

Trump stated that late last week there were very positive talks with Hamas ‍and international parties aimed at securing the release ⁤of prisoners⁣ and ending the Gaza war.

This claim comes as Israeli forces continue their military operations in Gaza despite ⁣calls for a ⁤ceasefire. Over the past two days, they conducted 131 attacks across different areas, resulting in‍ 94 casualties.

A few hours earlier, Hamas issued a statement announcing that a delegation led by Khalil al-Hayya has arrived in Cairo to begin negotiations on ⁢a ⁤ceasefire mechanism based on Trump’s plan.

Donald Trump recently proposed a 20-point ⁤plan to‌ end the Gaza conflict. It emphasizes an immediate ceasefire, exchange of Israeli prisoners for hundreds of Palestinian detainees, redeployment of Israeli forces⁣ back to agreed‌ lines, and establishment of an international body to rebuild and ⁢govern gaza.

The Palestinian resistance has conditionally accepted this plan⁤ while requesting clarifications on several points. This follows their consistent readiness over the past two years both for ceasefires and just peace agreements-and ⁤multiple previous ‌appearances⁤ at negotiation tables.

The recent proposal appears⁢ less about achieving ⁣genuine peace than about helping Israel overcome its strategic internal and external deadlocks. This is‍ reflected in how various governments‍ behave‌ toward Israel at forums like the United Nations General ‍Assembly as well as within sports arenas, academic institutions, and legal settings.
