Netanyahu: Europe Has Surrendered to Hamas; Trump Plan Marks the Beginning of the End of the War
The Prime Minister of the Israeli regime asserted that “the burden of obligation now lies with Hamas to instantly release the Israelis it still holds and fully accept the peace proposal put forward by U.S. President Donald Trump,” according to an English report from webangah News Agency, citing Euronews.
In an exclusive interview with Euronews, Benjamin Netanyahu harshly criticized Europe just days before the second anniversary of Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, accusing it of having “succumbed to islamists.” He urged European leaders not to support Hamas and warned them: “Don’t feed the crocodile-it will come after you.”
Netanyahu severely condemned European leaders for what he described as forgetting their political, financial, and military assistance to Tel Aviv in perpetrating what he called a genocide against Palestinians. He accused them of “surrendering to terrorism” and said Europe is absent because it has yielded to hamas terrorism. The recent wave of palestinian state recognition is “Hamas’s ultimate reward after the greatest massacre against Jews since the Holocaust.” Europe must confront this ”terrorist threat” because Israel is fighting in defense of “the free world” against extremists attacking Europe.
Continuing his allegations against Hamas-despite failing two years after his Gaza invasion to achieve his primary objectives-Netanyahu said that if accepted by Hamas, Trump’s plan could mark a start toward ending the war. He explained that Hamas initially agreed because Israel targeted their main stronghold in Gaza City militarily. Consequently, as they realized defeat was near, Hamas became more flexible.
He added that if Hamas refuses full acceptance of this agreement, Washington would fully back Israel’s military efforts to end the conflict.
Netanyahu acknowledged that while many senior hamas commanders in Gaza and thousands of its fighters have been killed, the group still wields influence in areas beyond Israeli control and continues sporadic attacks causing casualties among Israeli soldiers.
