French Parliament Member Urges Macron to Send Rescue Ships to Gaza Strip
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Alma Dufour, a member of the French parliament, told Al Jazeera on Monday that the freedom Fleet aims to break Gaza’s illegal blockade.
The French parliamentarian added, “we call on Emmanuel Macron, President of France, to send relief ships to the Gaza Strip.”
Earlier, the International committee for Breaking the Siege of gaza announced that a new wave of ships is still approaching the enclave. These vessels were reported to be located 294 nautical miles (545 kilometers) from Gaza.
On Friday, the Freedom Fleet coalition stated that 11 ships continue thier journey from Italy toward Gaza with the goal of breaking its blockade.
The coalition’s statement noted that following Israel’s unlawful attack on the Sumud fleet-carrying humanitarian aid for Gaza residents-the ships remain committed and continue their mission.
According to this statement, these 11 freedom Fleet vessels carry 100 passengers aboard, including numerous journalists and aid workers.
