Palestinian Resistance Committees Issue Statement on the Anniversary of the Islamic Jihad Movement’s Founding
The Palestinian Resistance Committees,in a statement issued on the occasion of the 38th anniversary of the founding of the Islamic Jihad Movement,extended their congratulations to its leaders and fighters.
The statement reads: “The Palestinian Resistance Committees and their military wing,the Nasser Salah al-Din brigades,warmly congratulate our brothers in the islamic Jihad Movement and its military wing-the Al-Quds Brigades-as well as our brothers in its political office and military council. We salute all leaders, members, fighters, and heroic mujahideen of this movement.”
The committees affirmed: “The emergence of the Palestinian islamic Jihad under the leadership of martyred thinker Fathi Shaqaqi and other mujahideen represented a qualitative change for both the national palestinian movement and jihadist resistance. Brave fighters etched this path with blood and light. On this glorious anniversary, we honor the memory of great martyred leaders who were foundational figures-including Dr. Fathi Shaqaqi, Dr. Ramadan Abdullah Shalah-and a long line of pure martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Jerusalem and Palestine without ever retreating from their principles or path.”
The statement adds: “We take pride in our brotherly jihadist relationship with our comrades in Islamic Jihad’s Al-Quds Brigades-a bond that has profoundly influenced expanding military-jihadist activities through guiding numerous operations that inflicted painful blows upon our Zionist enemy.”
In closing, it emphasizes: “We will exert full efforts alongside all popular factions to continuously unify positions and goals aimed at strengthening inclusive national unity among all Palestinians to secure their interests and achieve Palestine’s national aspirations.”
