Trump Recalls Consultation with Brazilian President
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, quoting Mehr News Agency, US President donald Trump said on Monday that he had a very productive phone conversation with Brazilian President lula. He wrote on Truth Social: “This morning, I had a very good phone call with Lula, the President of Brazil. We discussed many issues but focused primarily on the economy and trade between our two countries.”
The US president added, “We will hold more consultations and in the near future, we will meet both in Brazil and in the united States. I enjoyed this call; our countries will engage very well together!”
Earlier today,Brazil’s presidential office issued a statement confirming the phone call between President Lula da Silva and his American counterpart Donald Trump.
The statement noted that during the consultation, Lula requested that Trump remove a 40 percent tariff imposed on Brazilian goods.
