Europe and Gulf States Stress Continuation of Diplomatic Talks with Iran
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera Qatar, the final statement of the joint meeting between the foreign ministers of GCC member states and the European Union stressed the necessity of maintaining diplomatic talks with Iran and resuming full cooperation by Tehran with the International Atomic Energy Agency.
The participants also condemned attacks by Israel on Qatari territory, reaffirming their full support for Qatar’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
they welcomed US President Donald Trump’s plan aimed at halting the Gaza conflict and initiating reconstruction under an international framework.
The closing statement released minutes ago reads: “The foreign ministers from both sides condemned Israeli aggression against Qatar,emphasizing support for its sovereignty,independence,and territorial unity.”
The statement expressed gratitude for mediation efforts by Qatar, Egypt, and the United States while endorsing ongoing global coalition efforts toward achieving a two-state solution in Palestine.
It further welcomed President Trump’s proposal to end hostilities in Gaza and rebuild the region through a coordinated international mechanism.
Additionally, participants stressed that Jerusalem’s historical status along with its holy sites must be preserved, rejecting any unilateral actions regarding this matter.
