What Did Lebanese Experts Say About the Lasting Legacy of “Sayyid of the Resistance Martyrs”?
webangah News Agency: the Al-Manar news network website reviewed last September’s events, including pager bombings and the martyrdom of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and Sayyed Hashem Safieddine. It highlighted how the resistance and Lebanese people showed legendary steadfastness against these atrocities, causing Israel to fail in achieving its declared objectives in the conflict.
Ali Hamiyeh, a strategic affairs researcher, stated that the more pressure is applied to the resistance, the stronger it becomes. He explained that Lebanon’s resistance endured pressures beyond what world armies could withstand. It stood firm not only against Zionist enemies but also all Western powers-especially the United States-and never succumbed.
Hamiyeh noted that while Israel may have tactical successes on battlefields, strategically it looks toward distant horizons. It cannot maintain control militarily, security-wise, or demographically over any territory it tries to seize. Ultimately, this enemy is doomed to disappear while resistance power endures.
He added: “The spirit and blood of Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and esteemed martyrs-from Sayyed Hashem Safieddine to all fallen commanders-safeguard and reinforce resistance’s path toward ultimate victory.”
Talal Atrissi,a political sociology professor,recalled last September’s enemy plans. He said Israel assumed its strategies-a mix of psychological warfare tactics-would force Lebanon’s resistance into surrendering. However, especially after Nasrallah’s martyrdom, what unfolded was truly remarkable.
Atrissi described firsthand witnessing this steadfastness as Lebanese people returned resiliently to their villages.
He called Nasrallah’s cultural shaping of political and cultural leadership principles one of his most outstanding achievements. His influence extended beyond consolidating this culture within Shia communities; he fostered a culture of dignity across Lebanon and later expanded it politically on a broader regional scale.
Atrissi continued: “for this reason following nasrallah’s martyrdom many Lebanese-even outside Shia circles-and numerous Arabs and Muslims felt they had lost leadership over their dignity project.”
Iad Obeid, media studies professor at Lebanon University, described Hezbollah society as faithful, capable building a Karbala-like community: united amid hardship with unwavering faith showing continuous sacrifice capacity.
Obeid pointed out that during this global war against Lebanon’s resistance project everyone witnessed its people’s strength grounded in courage -martyrs’ injuries-their families demonstrating supreme chivalry values nurtured by faith chasing either victory or martyrdom exactly as outlined by Nazralah himself.</p}
