Trump: Hamas Shows Positive Approach in Its Interactions
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Qatar’s Al jazeera network, U.S. President Donald trump recently commented on his Gaza peace plan, saying: “In my view, Hamas currently shows a positive approach in its interactions.”
Trump added, “I believe significant progress has been made toward reaching an agreement in Gaza.”
He continued: “All parties involved, including Benjamin Netanyahu, have responded positively to the proposed Gaza agreement.”
Trump emphasized: “netanyahu took a positive stance on the Gaza agreement proposal and others have done the same.I think Hamas has agreed on very significant issues.”
“The parties involved are working hard to finalize the deal,” he said. “It appears we are on a very good path.”
The U.S. president noted that this is an agreement surprisingly accepted by all sides.
He also stressed that “I never told Netanyahu to take a negative position regarding the prisoner exchange deal.”
Trump added: “We will soon reach an agreement in Gaza.”
“We are working to quickly bring prisoners back from Gaza,” he said.
The president praised the resistance group: “Hamas has performed well and this positive trend will continue.”
He noted that about 80 percent of the Gaza agreement is finalized.
“There is a strong possibility of securing a lasting deal in Gaza,” he continued.
Claiming credit for progress, Trump said: “The Gaza accord will establish peace in the Middle East.”
Repeating comments from recent days, he stated that all Arab and Islamic countries support the Gaza agreement.
Praising Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Trump called him “an extraordinary and influential person who is fully committed to realizing this agreement.”
Trump again linked Hamas and Gaza with Iran and made controversial remarks claiming: “We have received clear signals from Iran indicating its desire for realizing this deal in Gaza.”
The U.S. president also touched briefly on the Russia-Ukraine war, stating it was due to mistakes by both sides.
“At the same time,” Trump added, ”we do not seek escalating tensions in Ukraine.”
