UNRWA Reports 370 Agency Staff Killed in Gaza War
UNRWA Releases Statement on the second Anniversary of Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, Reporting 370 Staff Deaths in Gaza and Calling for a Ceasefire
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) marked the second anniversary of Operation Al-aqsa Storm on October 7, stating that over 66,100 peopel have been killed during the prolonged war in Gaza.
In its statement, UNRWA confirmed that nearly all residents of gaza have been displaced. more than 80 percent of buildings have been destroyed or damaged. Additionally, over 370 UNRWA staff members have lost their lives.
The agency called for an immediate ceasefire and the release of all Palestinian prisoners detained in the Gaza Strip.
UNRWA emphasized that it is indeed time to lift the siege on Gaza and allow humanitarian and commercial aid to enter the area under United Nations coordination.
