Agence France-Presse: Negotiations Between Tel Aviv and Hamas Show Positive Progress
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency, Agence France-Presse reported that the indirect negotiations between Israel and Hamas representatives in Egypt are progressing positively.
The report states that a new round of these talks regarding the Trump plan will resume this Tuesday.
Earlier, Egypt’s Foreign Minister emphasized that the Sharm El-Sheikh negotiations between Israel and Hamas focus on establishing a security mechanism to guarantee a full Israeli withdrawal from Gaza.
He added that these talks also consider unconditional and unrestricted entry of humanitarian aid into Gaza thru international channels. Efforts aim to achieve full reconciliation between the West Bank and Gaza, as well as advance a two-state solution.
Last night, it was reported that the first round of talks between Hamas representatives and mediators from Egypt and Qatar concluded in Sharm El-Sheikh. Despite ongoing hostilities, these discussions took place in a positive atmosphere.
Sources familiar with Al Jazeera said the meeting attended by the Hamas delegation had a constructive tone.
