Dutch Foreign Minister Consults Egyptian Counterpart Focused on Gaza
According to the English section of webangah News Agency, citing Mehr News Agency and Al Jazeera, Caspar Veldkamp, the Dutch Foreign Minister, stated on Tuesday after meeting with his Egyptian counterpart badr Abdel-Aati that the Netherlands will participate as one of the host countries in the Gaza reconstruction conference organized by Egypt.
Veldkamp added that the Netherlands is ready to support Egypt’s efforts to assist gaza, including providing €2 million for essential medical equipment.
This comes as the Dutch Supreme Court previously ruled that the government must reconsider its arms export policies to Israel amid growing concerns over possible violations of international law involving these components.
The court clarified that it does not uphold last year’s lower court ruling imposing a permanent ban on exports of F-35 fighter jet parts. However, it emphasized that the government must reassess current conditions to determine legal risks related to such exports.
